DEQ Invites the Public to Attend the July 22 Town Hall Regarding Draft of Environmental Justice in the Permitting Process Guidance

DEQ is developing an updated draft of the Environmental Justice in the Permitting Process Guidance and is hosting an in-person town hall meeting to discuss the development of the guidance document with the public. Any member of the public is welcome to attend and provide feedback on the draft guidance.

The town hall will focus on community feedback regarding the two key topics, to help inform DEQ’s development of the updated guidance:

How to assess the cumulative impacts of certain DEQ issued permits; and
Recommended outreach strategies to engage communities impacted by such permits.
DEQ will post the draft guidance as soon as it becomes available. The town hall meeting details are provided below.
