Environmental Justice in the Permitting Process Guidance, Meeting #2

The Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) invites the public to our second in-person town hall meeting to discuss the draft “Environmental Justice in the Permitting Process Guidance.” DEQ is updating this draft guidance, and it is currently under review. We will make it available to the public once it is ready. DEQ’s Virginia Regulatory Town Hall notice for the second public town hall meeting is available here (a copy is attached). Below are the second town hall meeting’s details:

During the town hall, DEQ wants to hear from the public regarding the following two topics:
how to assess the cumulative impacts of DEQ-issued permits; and
what are recommended outreach strategies to engage communities impacted by such permits.
